Can't wait to read the whole book. Loved the two girls in it and the way they disguised their hangover at work [NOT the easiest of things to do]. I thought that your description of their walk through London towards The Screwdriver was very convincing and set the tone really well.As did the whole office set up once they got inside the building and the will she/won;t she be sacked. Liking the sound of Will and the world of hedgefunding, too :-)

From a wannabe writer's point of view I found it insightful how you moved the action along but managed to slip in quite a bit of info about the heroine/London/office world etc. This has been one of my problems because when I read at my writers' club [mostly short story, play and poetry writers] I get told to cut, cut, cut the background info. Then the NWS says: we need more background info about your heroine so that we can experience her travails with her. My instinct is to write pretty much as you have in the extract, drip feeding and not overwhleming the reader. So, thanks for that.

Have been rabitting on, so I'll shut up now. Happy writing, LOL, Lizzie :-)Lizzie Lambhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08811051361211715673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6893219948215874609.post-30738765628268878982010-02-14T09:16:54.289-08:002010-02-14T09:16:54.289-08:00Hello Bookalicious!
